Gold gilt on covers, gilt fore edges, marbled endpages, embossed design on cover, b&w illusrations, good binding, clean and unmarked text. Includes one photograveure after Winslow Homer, two photograveures after Childe Hassam, and others by notable artists such as F.A. Bridgman, Charles Sprague Pierce, Ridgeway Knight, Percy Moran Julius Stewart. Vol. I has 42 Photogravures, 73 Illustrations and 12 Typogravures. Vol. II looks like it has 6 Photogravures, 51 Illustrations and 7 Typogravures. General shelf wear, dry hinges, chipped along edges, rubbed covers, few pages are tanned or have closed tears/chips.
