Set of 4 audio cassettes housed in pictorial box.The original cardboard box with hinged lid (hinge a little cracked) is showing a colour Tolkien illustration. The box has very small scuffs / rubs on the lid corners.Originally included a full color map from The Silmarillion, and an 8 apge prgram booklet but is no longer included. Cassette I: Christopher Tolkien reads his father's The Silmarillion: Of Beren and Luthien .Cassette II: J.R.R. Tolkien reads and sings excerpts from his The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring (part one of The Lord of the Rings ). Cassette III: J.R.R. Tolkien reads and sings excerpts from The Two Towers (part two of The Lord of the Rings ) and The Return of the King (part three of The Lord of the Rings ). Cassette IV: J.R.R. Tolkien's Poems & Songs of Middle Earth , directed by Pulitzer Prize winner, Howard Sackler. J.R.R. Tolkien reads from The Adventures of Tom Bombadil . The Road Goes Ever On sung by William Elvin, pianist Donald Swann.
