Vol. I is NOT rebound; 1783; 5 raised ribs on spine, boards are detached but present; endpage edges are chipped, age toned pages, light soiling, leather from spine is chipping, some foxing throughout, first fold-out Genealogical Table of the Soverigns of the Two Sicilies has two tears on the left edge and a small peice of tape on the rear of the table, unmarked text. First illustration (frontispeice) missing. Vol. II has 1950's library binding copyright 1785; has few ex-library markings which are: small bookplate on inner board & letters on spine; Very small pen writing on front inner board at corner, age toned pages, endpages have some chipping at edges, foxing throughout, light soiling, page 11 has a two small peices of tape on the page margin, boards have general shelf wear, dirty handprint on rear board, front board edge is discolored/possible water damage, small are on spine faded/discolored, gold gilt lettering on spine, page 219 (Plate of Montreal) cut out with small page edge remaining near spine, page 236 (plate of Country near Segesta) cut out, page 375 (Plate of Castagnodi cento Cavalli) cut out.
