leather spine and corners, the first page is titled Mottos HAND WRITTEN VERSES FROM FAMOUS POETS RECORDED DAILY and in general wrote one motto a day starting December 7, 1896 included the author of the motto quoted, last entry appears to be in February of 95, hinges cracked, badly yellowing pages, pencil writing to front end page with previous owners stamp S. C. Wheeler, Chesterville, Maine , some of the rear pages have been torn, but is not completely written in, spine badly chipped and piece of backstrip missing, neatly written in cursive
