Green boards have gilded edges and gold lettering. The corners are worn, the spine area has cracks at each end. Heavy paper pages are yellowed. Title page is loose. Notation by previous owner to his wife dated Dec. 25/69. Back cover has been embossed with the title. Front & back first pages are a heavy dark brown paper. This book is especially noted for its beautiful etchings. Many fine etchings included here, such as: Harry Fenn, S. Eytinge Jr., Winslow Homer, Alfred Fredericks, Granville Perkins, F.O.C. Darley, W.J. Hennessy and John Harley. Bound by string, pages 87-90 also loose. Still a beautiful book.
