Candace Wheeler (1827-1923), who was a needlework artist and an important member of the American Arts & Crafts movement. Wheeler worked briefly for Tiffany. She founded Associated Artists with Louis Comfort Tiffany, Samuel Coleman and Lockwood de Forest
