Overall Condition is: VERY GOOD
This is a beautiful full leather bound book with raised, ribbed spine, showing elaborate gold gilt pattern on spine and bordered eges of text. Very fine binding.The boards have a warn, glowing light brown patina, the front has a gold crest which appears to have a large dog with a armored knight above. On the front it states, CAMBERWELL GRAMMER SCHOOL; Founded by Edward Wilson; Chartered by James I. A.D. 1615. Full marbled edges. Inside is a book plate from the school, with the head-masters name included. There are numerous illustrations throughout. This old text is clean and intact, the binding is tight. There is only slight wear around the outter edges. Free end papers are brightly marbled.end papers are brightly marbles. There is a pull out map showing the North West Passage in the back of the book.
