A beautiful book. 40 full page b&w illustrations. May or may not be first edition. Brown cloth, black spine lettering, black and gilt front cover lettering. Very decorative front cover with vines in black & gilt, 3 women in gilt, on a black background, framed in a gilt circle. Gilt butterfly at the lower right corner. Gilt chain at the upper right, gilt fore edges. Gift inscription on free front end paper. General shelf wear, head and foot of spine somewhat worn, rubbed edges, and very lightly age toned pages.
