Bright blue cloth boards slightly frayed at corners, showing gold lettering on spine. Yellow dust jacket is discolored around edges, The edges of dust jacket has small tears with the spine area cracking. Previous owner book plate inside front cover. End papers are yellowing. Many black and white illustrations and photos throughout text, as well as grafts and charts. Dr. Goddard was a world pioneer in rocketry and jet proplulsion. Rockets presents two famous Goddard papers, comprising A Method of Reaching Extreme Altitdes and Liquid-Propellant Rocket Development ; with a forward by the author. Frontispiece has a black and white photograph of Dr. Goddard. Dr. Goddard may truely be called the father of modern rocketry.
