Spine is chipped at top and bottom, edges of book are worn, slight fading of cover. Spine is pulling away from pages. Print type is larger. Some flocking of front and back endpieces, black & white photo of dining room in front endpiece. There are a few black and photos and illustrations. pages 13 through 16 are torn. Very slight yellowing of pages, otherwise in good condition. Candace Wheeler (1827-1923), who was a needlework artist and an important member of the American Arts & Crafts movement. Wheeler worked briefly for Tiffany. She founded Associated Artists with Louis Comfort Tiffany, Samuel Coleman and Lockwood de Forest
