The first presentation of Munsell system to the printing. With text illustrating the application of the system by T.M. Cleland, who also designed the book and provided the decorations. Rudolph Ruzicka provided the decorative designs on the color sheets.Cloth-backed board; provided the decorative designs on the color sheets; The book was arranged and prepeared with the authority of the late A.H.Munsell, who spent his life in the perfecting of the Munsell system of Color, and it is the first presentation of this system to the printing, advertising and paper trade. The book designed in its general form and the color sheets have been designed and patended by Arthur S.Allen, who also selected and arranged all of the color sheets. The decoration through the text , and the type composition were designed and executed by T.M. Cleland. There is a part on this book: The Color Sheets-showing a selection of strathmore cover papers printed with measured color areas arranged according to the Munsell System, 1/2 red spine cloth over grey boards, The book designed in its general form and the color sheets have been designed and patended by Arthur S.Allen, who also selected and arranged all of the color sheets. Cleland.; General wear, corners rubbed; slightly bumped corners, previous owners bookplate on inner front board, slightly age-toned pages; few soils pots on covers, pgs 1-28 are text; and 19 pages of fold-over pages of color images/presentations with measurments. Also, includes a small pamphlet The Right Color for the Paper, No. 5, by the American Writing Paper Co.
